BackNoodle
Video Series was developed to help people having back challenges to
become stronger, more flexible and in some cases pain free. The
exercises are created from the use of modified beginner Mat Pilates
movements for strengthening the core, adding in therapy foam rollers,
referred to in the video as BackNoodle, for balance, gentle stretching
incorporating mind body awareness. The exercises finish with mat
stretches for flexibility and relaxation.
"I have suffered from back pain since
I was in my early 20s. I tried everything short of surgery to help
relieve the pain with little success. I was encouraged to exercise and
Pilates were suggested. I bought a Pilates video but found it much too
hard to do. I had no idea how to modify the moves and, with my back,
modifications were essential for any success. So I gave up. Years
later I joined the BodyWatts fitness studio in Easton. Lorri
Wilson-Clarke was teaching a Pilates class, but I was reluctant to try
it since I'd had such a difficult time with the video. Lorri was
offering a free class and convinced me to give it another try and I
have been a believer ever since. Pilates are wonderful!!
Lorri was able to show me the modifications and I was able to move
from beginner classes to advanced in a short period of time. What a
difference they have made in my life. Along with improved posture and
energy, I finally have found a long term answer to my back pain.
